Representative Bell has been appointed by Speaker Tim Moore to serve on the House Rules Committee.
Historically, the Rules Committee determines whether, and in what order, to schedule their consideration in committees on the floor of the House. The Rules Committee also reviews, adopts, and schedules consideration of floor resolutions.
“I am honored to receive this appointment from Speaker Moore and look forward to serving on the Rules Committee,” said Representative Bell.
Representative Bell was also chosen last November by his colleagues in the legislature to serve as House Majority Whip, one of the top leadership positions in the General Assembly. He was also appointed by Speaker Moore to serve as the new chairman of the North Carolina Sportsmen’s Caucus, a bipartisan group of House and Senate leaders dedicated to protecting and promoting sportsmen’s issues within the General Assembly and before the United States Congress.
He also serves on the Agriculture Committee, the Banking Committee, the Committee on Commerce and Job Development, the Finance Committee, the Committee on Homeland Security, Military, and Veterans Affairs, the Judiciary Committee, the Public Utilities Committee, and as Chairman of the Regulatory Reform Committee.
